1、Install MATE 1.8 desktop i艘绒庳焰n Ubuntu 14.041. Type in the followin爿讥旌护g commands then hit Enter after each.sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://repo.mate-desktop.org/archive/1.8/ubuntu $(lsb_release -cs) main" ----------添加源地址可以看/etc/apt/source.list 里面有新添加的，或者查看日期
2、wget -q http://mirror1.mate-desktop.org/debian/mate-archive-keyring.gpg -O- |sudo apt-key add -sudo apt-get update
3、文件大概230M左右，以为我版本为例：sudo apt-get install mate-core mate-desktop-environment mate-notification-daemon
4、Ubuntu 12.04 中启用 xdmcp你只需运行命令 sudo vi /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf，并在 lightdm.conf 文件末尾添加下述内容即可：[XDMCPServer]enabled=true让 root 用户也能远程登录，你还得执行下述操作:给root用户设置一个密码，激活root用户。在终端中执行：sudo passwd root输入当前用户密码，然后输入你要给root用户设置的密码。运行命令 sudo vi /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf，在文件末尾添加：greeter-show-manual-login=true14.04中的话：sudo vi /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/50-ubuntu.confgreeter-show-manual-login=true加入这行，并重启就行了。
5、XdmcpServer经过上面的设置后，就可以正常连接了。O了！
